Who we are

I opened my own practice in 2025 because I wanted to practice law with intention — choosing the cases I believe in, dedicating real time to each client, and doing the work I know I excel in. After a decade of experience in the legal field between prosecution, public defense, private criminal defense, and civil litigation, I’d seen firsthand how different types of cases move through the system and how deeply the quality of representation can shape the outcome. I knew I wanted a practice where I could bring that experience and my commitment to client success directly to the people I represent.

We are a boutique litigation firm: one attorney (me) and one paralegal (Shannon). That structure is deliberate. When you hire my firm, you hire me — not a partner who disappears after the consultation, not a rotating group of associates, and not a system where your file becomes one of hundreds being shuffled around. I personally handle every stage of your case, from our first meeting to the final resolution, and I remain available even after your matter is closed.

Working with a small firm offers advantages that large firms simply can’t match:

  • Direct access to your attorney. Every communication goes through me. You never have to wonder who is actually working on your case or wait for information to be relayed through layers of staff.

  • Consistency and continuity. I know your story, your goals, and the details of your case because I’m the one doing the work — drafting your motions, preparing your strategy, and standing next to you in court.

  • Personal investment. I choose my cases intentionally, which means I’m fully committed to the clients I represent. You’re not just another file; you’re someone I’ve agreed to advocate for.

  • Tailored strategy. Your case isn’t forced into a firm-wide template or delegated to someone still learning the ropes. You get a strategy built specifically for you, informed by my broad background across multiple areas of law.

When I started law school in 2015, I set a goal to one day open my own practice — a place where clients receive focused, personal, high-quality representation. Today, that goal is a reality. And when you work with my firm, you get an attorney who is with you every step of the way, fully engaged, fully accountable, and fully committed to your success.

Abbie’s Story

Abbie has worked in criminal defense since 2017, representing hundreds of clients across the Puget Sound region. Counties served include Pierce, King, Lewis, Thurston, Island, Kitsap, Mason, Grays Harbor, and Snohomish, as well as most municipal courts within those jurisdictions.

A determined and hardworking attorney, Abigael is a zealous advocate for her clients both in and out of the courtroom. Her tenacity was evident early on; as a first-generation college student, she earned her first college degree by age eighteen, and her Juris Doctorate was earned at age twenty-two.

While Abigael has broad litigation experience, she has primarily focused on criminal defense. Her unique perspective comes from experiencing multiple angles of a criminal case—as prosecutor, defense attorney, and even witness. At eleven, she was subpoenaed and forced to testify against a family member, an experience that ignited her passion for justice for the criminally accused and their families and motivated her to pursue a legal career fighting for others facing similar injustices by the government. Abbie prides her practice in being able to offer perspective to her clients, to prosecutors and to the court due to her vast experiences personally and professionally in criminal cases.

Abigael has a strong record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients, including successful jury verdicts, pretrial rulings, and even an overturned jury verdict on appeal. Beyond her courtroom successes, she is known for her client-centered approach. Abbie deeply cares about each client’s story and circumstances, treating them as people first and cases second. Her courtroom advocacy reflect this compassion for her clients and their stories.

A native of the Greater Seattle-Tacoma area, Abigael double-majored in Philosophy and Law and Justice at Central Washington University, where she also worked as a writing tutor. During this time, she studied abroad in Cyprus and Greece. She then graduated from Seattle University School of Law in December 2017. Since licensure as an attorney, Abigael has worked as a prosecutor, a public defender, and worked in private criminal defense at other area law firms. She also took about a year away from the criminal arena and practiced in Civil Litigation.

Outside of her legal practice, Abigael enjoys traveling with her two children and husband exploring new places around the world or simply getting lost in the woods and enjoying the beauty of the PNW: backpacking, boating, or watching her husband and kids fish and hunt.
